Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Glee Garden Games ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects information when you use Sudoku Glee and related services (the "App"). It applies to the App on Android, iOS, and other supported platforms, including gameplay, local storage, cloud sync, Firebase authentication, purchases, subscriptions, advertisements, leaderboards, events, support, and account deletion features.
This policy is intended to work together with the privacy disclosures shown in Google Play, App Store Connect, in-app consent screens, and platform permission prompts. If a store privacy label or data safety form is more specific for your platform or region, it should be read together with this policy.
1. Developer and Privacy Contact
The developer and data controller for the App is Glee Garden Games. For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, contact us at support@gleegarden.games. You may also use the support channel listed on the Google Play or Apple App Store product page.
2. Information We Collect
Gameplay, profile, and app data
We may collect or store data needed to operate the game, including puzzle progress, completed puzzle IDs, difficulty level, solving time, errors, hints, notes, step timing, daily challenge results, duel or rally results, leaderboard entries, achievements, rank, points, coins, unlocked lessons, unlocked skins, selected theme, settings, tutorial progress, nickname, avatar, display name, feedback, and support messages.
Account and authentication data
The App uses Firebase Authentication as its account identity system. The App may create an anonymous Firebase user ID so progress, purchases, and cloud features can be associated with the same app account. If you choose to link Google sign-in, Google Play Games, Apple sign-in, or another supported provider, we may process the provider credential, token, account identifier, display name, and email address as needed to authenticate you, link accounts, recover progress, prevent fraud, and provide support. We do not receive your Google, Apple, or store account password.
Purchase and subscription data
When you buy, restore, or use Premium, subscriptions, coins, skins, lessons, or other in-app products, we may process product ID, purchase token, signed transaction, signature, order status, subscription status, renewal status, refund or cancellation status, restore result, billing country or region code, price metadata, entitlement status, and verification results. Payment card numbers and bank account details are processed by Google Play, Apple, or the relevant app store and are not received by us.
Advertising, consent, and device data
The App uses Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform for ads and privacy choices where available. Depending on your platform, region, device settings, consent choices, and applicable law, Google or advertising partners may process advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location inferred from network or device signals, device model, operating system, app version, ad unit, ad interaction data, crash or diagnostic data, and other technical identifiers. Ads may be personalized, non-personalized, contextual, frequency-capped, or disabled depending on your choices, Premium status, and legal requirements.
Technical, security, and diagnostics data
We and our service providers may process app version, package or bundle identifier, device type, operating system, network status, error logs, crash logs, performance data, Firebase App Check or security signals, anti-fraud signals, server logs, timestamps, request metadata, and similar diagnostic data. The App does not require access to contacts, precise GPS location, camera, microphone, photos, SMS, call logs, health data, or government identifiers for core gameplay.
Local device storage
The App stores some progress, settings, cached puzzle or image data, and feature state locally on your device using browser storage, WebView storage, or app-private files. Local data may remain on your device until you clear it in the App, clear app data through your device settings, or uninstall the App.
3. How We Use Information
We use information for the following purposes:
- to provide Sudoku gameplay, tutorials, settings, saved progress, rewards, skins, coins, daily challenges, duels, rallies, and other App features;
- to authenticate users, maintain anonymous or linked accounts, sync data across devices, recover progress, and process account deletion requests;
- to verify purchases and subscriptions, restore entitlements, grant or revoke paid benefits, detect refunds or chargebacks, and prevent purchase fraud;
- to show, limit, personalize, or disable ads, including removing ads for eligible Premium users and offering ad-supported benefits where available;
- to operate leaderboards, rankings, achievements, events, puzzle statistics, and gameplay integrity systems;
- to provide customer support, investigate bugs, respond to feedback, and communicate about account, purchase, privacy, or security matters;
- to protect the App, users, and our services against abuse, cheating, unauthorized access, fraud, and security incidents;
- to analyze and improve App performance, reliability, balancing, content, and user experience; and
- to comply with law, enforce our terms, resolve disputes, and satisfy store platform requirements.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
Where a legal basis is required, we process personal data because it is necessary to provide the App and requested services, perform a contract with you, comply with legal obligations, protect legitimate interests such as security and fraud prevention, or because you have provided consent. For personalized advertising, certain analytics, cookies or local identifiers, and similar activities, we request consent where required by laws such as the GDPR, ePrivacy rules, UK GDPR, LGPD, PIPEDA, CPRA/CCPA, or similar laws. You may withdraw consent through available in-app privacy options, device settings, or platform settings where supported.
5. Ads, Tracking, and Privacy Choices
Non-Premium users may see banner, interstitial, rewarded, or benefit-related ads through Google AdMob. Google AdMob and its partners may collect or receive data from the App to deliver ads, measure ads, prevent ad fraud, limit ad frequency, and comply with advertising rules. In regions where consent is required, the App uses Google's consent tools to request and manage ad choices before requesting ads where required.
If you are in a region where an in-app privacy options form is available, you can open it from the App settings when shown. You may also limit ad personalization or reset advertising identifiers through your device settings. On iOS, if the App requests permission under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, tracking for targeted advertising or advertising measurement will occur only as allowed by your ATT choice and applicable law.
Purchasing or restoring eligible Premium access disables ads in the App for that account or device as implemented by the App. Some ads or ad choices may still be managed by the operating system, app store, or advertising provider.
6. Third-Party Services
We use service providers and platform SDKs to operate the App. These providers may process data according to their own terms, privacy policies, SDK behavior, and your platform settings. Depending on your platform and features used, these services may include:
- Google Firebase, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Functions, Remote Config, App Check, hosting, storage, databases, or related backend services;
- Google Play services, Google sign-in, Google Play Games services, Google Play Billing, and Google Play purchase verification;
- Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform for advertising and consent management;
- Apple services such as Sign in with Apple, StoreKit, App Store purchase verification, and App Tracking Transparency where the iOS version uses them;
- cloud hosting, database, security, logging, support, and operational service providers used to run our backend.
You can learn more about third-party privacy practices from Google at https://policies.google.com/privacy, Google's partner services notice at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and Apple at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
We do not authorize service providers to use your personal data for purposes unrelated to providing, securing, measuring, advertising, or improving the App, except where you have consented or where the provider acts as an independent controller under its own privacy terms.
7. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell personal and sensitive user data. We may disclose information:
- to service providers that host, secure, authenticate, verify, analyze, advertise, store, or support the App;
- to app stores and payment platforms for purchase, subscription, refund, restoration, tax, fraud prevention, and entitlement purposes;
- to advertising partners such as Google AdMob when ads are requested and permitted by your consent, device settings, and law;
- to other users only for public or social features you use, such as display name, avatar, rank, score, event result, or leaderboard position;
- to comply with legal obligations, lawful requests, court orders, or regulatory requirements;
- to protect rights, safety, security, users, our services, and the integrity of purchases or gameplay; and
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or transfer of business assets, with appropriate notice where required.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect user data, including encrypted transport for network requests where supported, platform-provided authentication, app-private storage, access controls, backend authorization checks, purchase verification, and anti-abuse measures. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the App, maintaining progress and entitlements, verifying purchases, supporting sync and recovery, preventing fraud or cheating, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our terms.
Gameplay and profile data associated with an account is generally retained while the account is active. Purchase, subscription, refund, tax, anti-fraud, support, and security records may be retained longer where required or permitted by law. Local gameplay data may remain on your device until you clear it or uninstall the App. Cached content may be deleted automatically or when no longer needed.
The App includes a "Remove My Data" or similar account deletion feature where available. You may also request deletion by contacting support@gleegarden.games. When we delete an app account, we delete or de-identify personal data associated with that account unless retention is necessary for legal, security, fraud prevention, purchase verification, dispute resolution, or other legitimate purposes. Deleting an App account does not automatically cancel active subscriptions; manage or cancel subscriptions through Google Play, Apple, or the applicable app store.
10. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or information about how your personal data is used and shared. Residents of regions such as the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Brazil, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and other jurisdictions may have additional privacy rights under local law.
To exercise rights, contact us at support@gleegarden.games. We may need to verify your identity or account ownership before fulfilling a request. You can also manage certain choices directly in the App or on your device, including clearing local data, linking or unlinking supported account providers where available, managing ad privacy choices, limiting ad tracking, resetting advertising identifiers, managing app permissions, and managing purchases or subscriptions through the applicable app store.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights, but some App features may not work without data needed to provide them.
11. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age required by local law for consent to online services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without legally required consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us at support@gleegarden.games so we can review and take appropriate action. If the App is offered in a child-directed mode or store category in the future, we will update disclosures and SDK use as required by Google Play Families Policy, Apple Kids Category rules, COPPA, GDPR-K, and similar child privacy laws.
12. International Processing and Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries or regions other than where you live, including countries that may have different data protection laws. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections, adequacy decisions, consent, or other lawful transfer mechanisms. Service providers such as Google, Apple, Firebase, and cloud infrastructure providers may process data globally according to their own legal transfer mechanisms.
13. Regional Notices
European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
You may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, port data, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.
United States state privacy laws
We do not sell personal information as the term "sell" is commonly defined under U.S. state privacy laws. Advertising identifiers and ad interaction data may be shared with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising only where permitted by law and your choices. You may use available in-app privacy options, device ad settings, or contact us to exercise applicable opt-out rights.
Brazil, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and other regions
Users in these regions may have rights to access, correct, delete, withdraw consent, or complain to a privacy authority under applicable local law. Contact us to exercise those rights, and we will respond as required by applicable law.
14. Store Privacy Labels and Data Safety
Google Play Data Safety and Apple App Privacy disclosures must accurately reflect the App's current SDKs and data practices. Based on the current App features, relevant categories may include user identifiers, device identifiers, purchase history, gameplay content, product interaction, advertising data, diagnostics, approximate location inferred by ad or platform services, and account contact information when a linked provider supplies it. These categories may be used for app functionality, purchases, fraud prevention, security, analytics, product improvement, advertising, and personalization as described in this policy.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice by updating the "Last updated" date and, where required, by in-app notice, store listing notice, consent prompt, or another reasonable method. Continued use of the App after an update means the revised policy applies, except where separate consent is required by law.
16. Contact
If you have questions, requests, or complaints about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact Glee Garden Games at support@gleegarden.games.
